Anti Virus

It seems that lately a lot of folks are getting Viruses that the traditional Anti Virus Programs are not able to cope with.

the truth of the matter is that Viruses are very Passé.

thats right, I said it is out there.

That being said you still need to be on guard for Viruses but they are really not the end all they once were.

What we should be watching for now, and what i see most of the time in the shop is Spyware and Malware,

so how does spyware and Malware differ from a good old fashioned Virus?

well a Virus slowly destroys your computer from the inside out. it actually changes system files and it mutates software into something that at some point fails to function any longer. its pretty easy to detect most viruses these days that why they are not the main culprit.

Spyware does exactly like the name says, it is software that is installed in you computer that is designed to spy on your actions, it can then send information to some other location that tells the other computer what your habits are, or in some cases it can also steal information from your computer causing your identity to be stolen.

Malware is the most annoying of all these, it is also software designed to fool you into buying stuff or installing software onto your computer that causes you great anxiety.

such as the "YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED" you think it might be true so you click on the CLICK HERE TO FIX IT NOW and darn if it doesn't ruin your day.  the next thing you know the computer wont even run right and your forced to bring it to a Professional Shop to repair. the truth is your computer is not infected,  but it sure acts like it, what really is happening is that a small script has been implanted into your computers startup procedure that starts a little program designed to steal your information or solicite money from you in order to get rid of it.

Malware is also the easiest to remove.
